Caret Down

Doryoku Race Bar’s philosophy of use:

We designed this to be the best value bar on the market when it comes to weight, construction, design, add on options, price and total value. All bars are designed by scanning the OEM bumper bar/foam/support so that we can ensure the best fit and follow the existing shape. The race bar is intended to provide many performance benefits for track car applications (drag /road race) while allowing the user to customize the bar as they grow in the sport.

Customize options:

☆ Extended dual tow hooks - $75

These welded hooks can be used for easy access tie-down for transport. This eliminates the need to go under the car which interferes with splitters, lips. The dual hooks also have an M8 hole which are used for mounting splitter support rods. Note: very minimal trimming to the bumper is required. Trimming is not visible from the outside.

☆ Hidden Universal tow strap bracket - $55

This welded bracket allows for universal tow straps to be bolted on. You will need to make a horizontal slit in the bumper cover for the strap to pull through. This can be placed anywhere on the bar, driver, passenger or center. NOTE: No cutting of bumper required. Tow strap should only be used for recovery, not tie-down.

☆ Recessed CNC M12 tow bung - $55

Welded CNC M12 bung allows for thread in style tow strap which is common on modern cars such as S2000, FRS BRZ, BMW, Corvette, Porsche, VW Audi sports cars. I can place this anywhere on the tube.

☆ Dual M8 threaded mounting pucks - $40

These M8 pucks make it easy to bolt on FMIC, oil coolers, ducting plate, light bar & splitter support rods. M8 pucks are placed on the bar based on your setup. Consulting will be provided before fab.

☆ Custom powder coating - I stock over 35 popular colors $50

If you are purchasing a front and rear bar and request a custom color, I would only charge you 1 coating fee for both bars.

FAQ

Caret Down

Q: How much weight is saved over stock?

A: 6 lbs  (46%) weight savings. It's not so much about how much weight is removed, what's more important in any track car is "where" the weight is removed. Anytime you can remove weight from areas beyond the wheel it improves the car's natural balance & gives you the control to strategically add weight back in where it's most beneficial for your setup or race series. Check out this video from Ben as he talks about weight reduction & distribution.

Q: Can I fit an “ABC” tucked radiator and “ABC” FMIC?

A: Many customers can easily fit a tucked radiator and up to 4.5” thick FMIC. Unless your turbo setup has a giant FMIC that cannot fit behind the stock bumper cover & 1 piece front end, chances are this bar will fit.

Q: Will the bumper still fit like stock?

A: We designed the bar to have a tight fit by placing it close to the upper portion of the bumper grill. When installing the bumper skin, you’ll notice the bar creating a slight upward pull. The mounting endplates will also have a small slot for 1/4" adjustment based on how much tension you want on the bumper cover to the track bar.

Q: How come your bar doesn’t have the brackets under the headlight?

If you look at those brackets carefully, you will notice they are designed to “stop” the bumper cover from being pushed back. They are not designed to “hang” the bumper on. The stock beam & foam leaves ½” gap behind the bumper cover. This means if your bumper would push back ½” before reaching the foam. The stopper brackets help to reduce the bumper from ripping off the fender mount tabs. My bar eliminates any space behind the cover & therefore eliminates the need for any “stopper” bracket. If your bumper is not warped under the headlight then there should be no reason for the bumper “sag” with or with the stopper bracket.

Q: Will you make a rear bar?

A: Yes I offer a rear bumper bar. See link

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17oXLsWcpg/

Q: Does this fit hatch, coupe, sedan?

A: This bar fits all 92-95 Civic models because the OEM foam and beam parts are interchangeable.

Q: What are the benefits of zinc plating?

A: Zinc finish is a thin protection barrier which makes it very easy to primer paint or powder coat over. It's also easy to prep for additional welding if you decide to add additional parts to the bar. Powder coating is thicker but less friendly for future modifications such as painting or welding.

Q: How do you mount splitter support rods on to your bar?

A: There are 2 methods, tow hooks with built in M8 hole or welded M8 pucks. We recommend Professional Awesome universal splitter/aero support rods which can be used on either option of our bar.  See link and youtube video within the link
