Our bumper bars fit very tightly behind the OEM bumper cover and headlight gap/sag is generally not an issue (see bar specific gallery). We understand these cars being +20 years old, their conditions vary with questionable history. Some variables where a car might need additional bumper support: 

• Core support has been repaired 
• Non OEM replacement bumpers that fit subpar 
• Aftermarket bumpers (drag frontend, body kit)
  
• Aftermarket headlight resulting in more gap

 

 

Engineering Design Notes 

 

Modular  & Optional

This is a bolt-on option so existing clients don't need to modify their bar.  We designed it so that customer can decide if they need the additional support or not.  We don't believe in forcing features that add cost/weight to consumers. 

 

Adjustability

Some companies weld a fixed bracket on to their bars. This does NOT allow for any flexibility in adjusting the left from the right. Most cars & aftermarket bumpers are not perfect and require independent adjustability. Our design allows for up to 1/2" of vertical adjustment. In extreme case, clients can bend the (14ga) steel bracket as needed without worry of material structural fatigue.

 

Strength & Lightweight 

The factory brackets are thin steel that rust away & bend easily. We use 14ga steel that is stronger & zinc plate them for corrosion protection. Other companies weld a heavy bracket to their bars & require the OEM bracket to be bolted on. 

 

Trust the process  

Auto manufactures do make mistakes such as design inconsistencies. We scanned L & R bumper brackets and found Honda did not make them symmetrical. This required us to make two different brackets with different bends. We trust the scan & design process to ensure the best fitment.
