H-series, the OG Honda big block! Although we don't see too many of these anymore, we still wanted to provide the baffle service for H-series owners. This cover presented its own unique challenges that required a huge investment in time and money to get it just right.

Upon initial inspection, you'll see that there are two main entry points through the baffle and into the chamber. Once the baffle is removed, you'll see that the chamber is broken up into two separate areas; One side for the vent tube and the other for the PCV, making this yet another cover that's difficult to clean out after coating. The rear chamber presents ample room for AN fittings, but the front chamber is far too shallow to really do anything worthwhile. We measured less than 4mm worth of material thickness to work with. Check out how casked up it is under that baffle though...

We try to use the OEM baffle when at all possible, but the lack of material at the front chamber made it impossible to implement baffle plate hardware. This led us to redesign a completely new baffle plate that would eliminate a majority of the front chamber, while still providing some baffling to keep the PCV side functioning properly. The vent tube side would retain the original entry way.

This cover also had custom tooling to enable the CNC grommet seat refinishing process. The wear and corrosion will be a good reminder of how old these covers actually are! 25+ years! Both the CNC baffle service and grommet refinishing come standard on all H-series coating.
